Cultural Curation
Designing spaces and experiences that celebrate culture, story and connection.
Cultural Curation brings Indigenous knowledge, storytelling and values into the spaces and experiences your organisation creates. From workplaces to events, we help organisations embed culture in ways that are authentic, meaningful and visually engaging.
At Indigico Creative, Cultural Curation is about more than decoration or symbolism — it’s about creating environments and experiences that honour Country, amplify stories, and foster connection, respect and understanding.
Our Approach
Our approach to Cultural Curation is grounded in Indigenous knowledge systems, relational practice, and values-led design. We work closely with clients to understand the purpose, audience, and context of every project, ensuring culture is embedded with integrity and intention.
The Benefits
Through Cultural Curation, organisations can facilitate experiences and spaces that:
Reflect authentic cultural stories and perspectives
Foster connection, engagement and respect for First Nations peoples and communities
Build organisational credibility and cultural confidence
Enhance events, programs and spaces with meaningful design and narrative
Ensure cultural protocols and practices are embedded with integrity
Create memorable, impactful experiences that resonate with audiences
Culture for the
Workplace
Creating spaces that reflect respect, identity and belonging.
Workplaces are more than physical spaces — they’re living environments that tell a story about who you are and what you value. Through cultural curation, we help organisations bring their commitment to reconciliation and inclusion to life through authentic visual storytelling, design and space activation.
We work closely with you to understand your organisation’s identity, values and vision. From there, we collaborate with First Nations artists and local Elders and Knowledge Holders to co-create spaces that respectfully reflect culture and community.
How we curate space
Facilitating the commissioning Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artworks and installations
Designing culturally inspired interior design elements and environmental graphics
Embedding Acknowledgment of Country through visual storytelling and language
Developing cultural narrative panels and signage that educate and inspire
Advising on culturally appropriate language and tone
Advising on the respectful use of symbols, colours, design motifs and cultural intellectual property
A workplace that embodies cultural respect is a space where people feel connected, proud and inspired. Through authentic cultural storytelling, your environment becomes a daily reminder of your organisation’s values, purpose and ongoing journey of reconciliation.

How we work
Stage 1:
Discovery & Insight
We start by understanding your organisation, event or space, your audience, and the purpose of the curation. This ensures every decision is grounded in context, intention and cultural integrity.
Stage 2:
Analysis & Review
We apply a cultural lens to assess opportunities, risks and ways to authentically embed First Nations stories and values. This stage ensures that culture is represented respectfully and meaningfully.
Stage 3:
Design & Curation
We curate and design artworks, installations, storytelling elements, or event flows that bring cultural stories to life. This stage balances creativity, cultural protocol, and audience impact.
Stage 4:
Activation
We support implementation and integration, ensuring curated elements are experienced as intended. For events, this may include on-site activation or guidance for facilitators. For workplaces, it may include installation and staff orientation to cultural elements.
