The Mission of Indigico:

To transform creative communications, decolonise corporate mindsets and inspire unity through authentic connection.

Indigico Creative is a 100% Aboriginal controlled and operated company based in Tamworth, NSW, which was established in February 2020 by Amy Allerton. Since then, Indigico has had the privilege of working with clients all over Australia, setting a benchmark for how regional businesses can achieve commercial success while keeping culture, community and Country at the centre.

With a diverse portfolio of work which includes delivering projects for federal, state, and local government, educational institutions, non-profit organisations, SMEs, and large corporations, Indigico has earned a reputation for excellence and innovation.

Collaboration is at the heart of every service we provide, every yarn and story we tell. We partner with businesses and communities, embarking on a journey of collaborative storytelling founded on trust and honesty. Our process begins with relational, one-on-one consultations, where we seek to truly understand the heart of every client’s story. From concept to completion, we work side-by-side with our clients in meaningful collaboration, ensuring that every project is grounded in strong relationships, embedded with reciprocity and delivered with integrity.

We believe in the power of storytelling and its remarkable ability to unite, inspire and transform, which is why, at Indigico Creative, we don’t just tell stories—we empower them.

We invite you to join us in shaping a world where every story finds its voice.

Our vision is that every story is given value and a voice, to revitalise communities, reconnect to culture and restore identities to build a stronger future.

The Heart of Indigico

Indigico Creative is embedded with deep cultural connection and heritage, infusing our work with a distinct authenticity that bridges gaps and builds meaningful, creative connections across businesses and communities.

The heart of Indigico comes from a deep yearning to restore a cultural identity and recover lost stories. Our Founder and Managing Director, Amy Allerton, is a proud Gumbaynggirr and Bundjalung woman from the Clarence Valley region of NSW, but was born and raised on Gamilaroi country in Tamworth NSW. Over five generations ago, her family’s culture, tradition, language and dreaming were displaced, resulting in a deep sadness and pain that has affected the generations since.

Although Amy has known who she is her whole life, her family has been on a long journey to heal the trauma of over 150 years of cultural separation and reclaim her Ancestor’s, her grandfather’s, her mother’s and her own story.

When stories are suppressed, rejected and invalidated, we lose a whole lot more than just a story. Indigico strives to be part of the solution to ensuring that First Nation’s stories, voices, culture and connection are never taken away again.
